BD-2 GALAXIE Mod Fans of the BD-2 love the transparent and flat EQ characteristics of this pedal, especially when compared to the TS line. But most don't care for the top end harshness when the drive and tone knobs are brought up past noon. We've tamed the top end and given the pedal more guts, which is very standard for this pedal. But we weren't content to stop there, because there's some real magic within the BD-2: it uses discrete FET circuitry found in expensive boutique boosters and OD pedals. The stock circuitry sandbags the pedal's full potential, and the stock clipping diodes mask the best qualities of the FETs. The GALAXIE Mod addresses over two dozen components in the circuit which yields a dramatic transformation. The end result is an extremely dynamic OD with a drive knob that works throughout the entire range. DS-1 SUPER SPORT Mod In stock form, the DS-1 is shy on midrange, and has distortion to spare: both to it's detriment. The SUPER SPORT Mod goes a few steps beyond what other modders offer. We brought up the mids appropriately, but without the need for extra switches or controls. We tamed the harmonic overload, and mellowed out the top end just enough. We reworked the DS-1 to top out at a sane amount of drive. The SUPER SPORT Mod is a total overhaul to convert this into a super hot overdrive design. You can max the drive knob and stay firmly planted in the world of rock. Also a great choice for more modern rock from the 90's forward! The 5223 chip is replaced in pedals made from 2000-2006, as it's really a tonal hinderance to the DS-1's potential.
